Brief About the Event
Under the UK-India Technical Assistance Programme on “Accelerating Smart Power and Renewable Energy” (ASPIRE), the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), Government of UK in partnership with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Government of India Renewable Energy" (ASPIRE) organised a webinar on "Alchemie's Waterless Smart Dyeing and Finishing Technology" on February 2, 2023. The UK-based technology company Alchemie Technologies (Alchemie) described its cutting-edge "Waterless Smart Dyeing and Finishing Technology" in the webinar. Over 30 people from prominent Indian textile companies took part in the webinar. The webinar successfully emphasized the following goals:
- Shared details of the new age “Waterless Smart Dyeing and Finishing Technology” offered by Alchemie for a sustainable textile dyeing process.
- Provided insights on the potential of Alchemie’s clean-tech digital manufacturing solution that reduces the environmental impact by eliminating wastewater emissions and enables a reduction of energy consumption by over 85%.
- Recognised the opinions of the Indian textile industry regarding the type of support needed for wider and more widespread adoption of such cutting-edge industrial energy efficiency/ decarbonization technology and solution
